Serenity and Views: Transforming an Upland Estate in Waimea

Kerley residence, a private estate nestled in Waimea’s lush mauka hillside, underwent a transformation guided by Vastu Shastra design principles, aiming to harmonize the ranch-style structure with its natural surroundings. Situated amidst sweeping views of Mauna Kea, our design accentuated these vistas while anchoring the residence with upland/mauka plant materials native to Waimea. We integrated hardscaping into the garden spaces to create a serene landscape connecting the new dance studio hale. Natural elements such as boulder retaining walls and rock-salt concrete walkways were incorporated for safe pedestrian travel around the property.
